Design has a decisive influence on product and service development and in environments better adapted to the users’ needs and preferences, more competent, efficient, differentiated, and, therefore, able to generate advantages for companies and added value to the client. That is why the companies of the wood sector in Galicia, aware of its importance, will be holding on 9 September, in the Edificio Cersia in Santiago de Compostela, the VIII Jornadas de Arquitectura y Diseño (VIII Architecture and Design Seminars), where renowned professionals from the world of Architecture and Design will come together. During the seminars, both speakers and attendees will share their experiences regarding the fascinating world of architecture and design ensuring a meeting space to foster thought, exchange and creation of new ideas among designers, architects and firms within the wood sector. To enable this, previously coordinated meetings between seminar attendees (firms, architects and designers) will be organised.
Attendance to the seminar is free and the speakers will be:
- Isabel Aguirre, director of the Escola Galega da Paisaxe of the Fundación Juana de Vega.
- Javier Tudela, artist and teacher at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Pontevedra (Uvigo).
- Cristóbal Crespo, teacher at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura of A Coruña; Estudio Acuadrado, specialised in product design and promoters of design thinking.
- Ezcurra y Ouzande, Architecture firm specialised in wood restoration.
This event is organised by the Wood Industry Cluster in Galicia (CMA) in collaboration with the Consellería de Economía e Industria (Regional Ministry of Commerce and Industry), through the Igape.
