Among its members are (CETAL),(Fundación Centro Tecnológico Alimentario de Lugo/Food Technology Centre in Lugo), (CTC) (Fundación Centro Tecnológico de la Carne/Meat Technology Centre) and the (CECOPESCA)(Centro de Conservación de Productos de la Pesca/Fish Products Preservation Centre), and the innovation and food R&D centres of the three Galician universities.
The Cluster has been classified as excellent by the Special Registry for Innovative Business Associations of the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, within its 2011-2015 Strategic Plan.
One of the strategic objectives of the Cluster is related to improving the market positioning of Galician food businesses, paying special attention to internationalisation. Regarding this aspect, its “Galicia Food & Drink China” initiative was acknowledged as one of the European success stories regarding its introduction in the Asian giant.
The “Inconsumer” project provides tools to discover consumer preferences and habits, fundamental for discovering new trends.
