The activities of the CSG pursue three main goals: innovation, internationalization and competitiveness training. It also makes of cooperation and economic development two of its most defining trademarks. The creation of the Galician health cluster was one of the highlight actions planned in the document "Sergas Strategy 2014", which acknowledged as it n. 5 goal making the health sector work as a driver of economic growth and promote partnerships with all its agents.

The CSG is made up of more than 60 associate members, specialized in the areas of Health, Food, Technology and Support. The CSG works as a communication platform for its members, that subdivide in 3 councils: Health, Industry and Social Policy.

The RIES Forum, organized annually by the CSG, gives its members an opportunity to display  solutions they applied to regional, national and international health ecosystem challenges. The main global players in the sector participate in the forum, that is carried out in collaboration with the European health network ECHAlliance.
